Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago was, well, it's the suburbs so you could probably guess. Or watch any teen dream movie and find out yourself. As a kid I loved to play outside, build tiny vessels for bugs, play puzzles, and constantly ask "why?". Yes, I was the why kid, but I think that's what makes me a good product designer. I have had 25 years of experience trying to figure out how to ask why, how to discover why, and when to ask why. But recently I got to thinking... why do humans as why?
